Connect Claude Desktop to Redliner

Connector setup should be deliberate because it involves credentials. Keep API keys private and only enable the scopes the connector actually needs.

Setup flow

  1. Create or obtain a Redliner API key with the minimum read scopes needed.
  2. Install or run the Redliner MCP connector according to your workspace instructions.
  3. Add the connector entry to Claude Desktop settings under Developer configuration.
  4. Restart Claude Desktop.
  5. Confirm the Redliner tools appear before asking project questions.

Do not paste secrets into chat

API keys belong in the connector configuration or secure secret storage, not in a Claude conversation, email, screenshot, or support thread.

Verify with a harmless question

  • Ask Claude to list available Redliner tools.
  • Ask for a project summary from a non-sensitive test project.
  • Confirm the answer cites the expected project context before using it for real work.
