Eridon Corporation Launches Technical Preview of Redliner™
New SaaS Offering Issues in Next Generation of Online Word Processing, Document Collaboration
MINNEAPOLIS, May 6 /PRNewswire/ — Eridon Corporation today launched a technical preview of Redliner™,
a “next generation” online word processor and document collaboration tool featuring an innovative
workflow component that helps get important documents completed faster. The latest entry in the SaaS
cloud computing arena, Redliner goes beyond the capabilities of current online word processors, such
as Google™ Docs, Zoho® Writer and Adobe® Buzzword®, by removing the grunt work inherent in the document
collaboration process.
When several individuals are working on a single document and accessing various versions, how many times
do they find themselves asking, “What has changed?”, “Is this the latest version?” or “What do I need to
respond to?”
Redliner eliminates those headaches by automatically processing exactly what each person needs to do next
and directing him or her to it. Redliner’s unique user dashboard prompts individuals whenever they need
to take action on a specific document while also tracking what they require of others, all of which keeps
the edit, review and approval process moving quickly toward completion.
Collaborators can instantly see “What needs my attention” and “What I’m waiting on” across all Redliner
documents. Each prompt offers a direct link to the associated document along with a summary of the
actions involved, such as “Gail changed: $1 million in sales” or “David: I think this is the figure you
were looking for.”
Once inside a Redliner document, users are guided by an in-document dashboard that takes them directly
to each “Redline” edit or comment that requires their personal review. Edits made to the text are clearly
identified, and with a single click users can compare the proposed changes to the original version
without ever leaving the current document. Collaborators are freed from the time-consuming tasks of
re-reading an entire document and/or toggling among various saved versions to decipher what has changed.
Likewise, Redliner’s comments feature empowers true collaboration, allowing back-and-forth discussions
to unfold naturally within the document itself. Users have the option to “respond to” or “acknowledge”
a comment, thus confirming that they have seen it. Redliner also allows for private comments directed to
specific collaborators.
Redliner is ideal for small law firms, public relations professionals, editors and freelance writers,
students, small businesses—virtually anyone who collaborates with others on legal documents, contracts,
business agreements, reports, press releases, articles, marketing or sales copy, class assignments or
other professional documents.
With Redliner, users can assemble a collaborative team instantly without having to install new software
or engage in training. Its immediate accessibility—to anyone, anywhere, intuitive features, and
innovative work flow make it an overwhelming improvement over current collaboration alternatives.
The Redliner technical preview is available at www.Redliner.com.
Commercial release is scheduled for later this year.
